Scarlet Revolt is a Charleston, WV based rock band formed in 2012 with a strong classic rock roots and a heavy modern rock vibe. According to Do Savannah Magazine, SR sound “Classic without falling into a redundant 70’s revivalist corner.” SR released their debut “Awakening” EP in December 2016 on Factory Fast Records (NYC) who called it “One of the best rock ep’s in years.” SR signed an international distribution agreement with Von Artists (Portland OR) in February 2017 for their third CD, “Cold Town” that drops May 5, 2017 via Amped and The Orchard.

Front-woman Eve Marcum-Atkinson’s powerful and dynamic vocal style and sassy stage presence adds both grace and edge to live performances, while drummer CJ Davis’s rock solid drum work features an aggressive, acrobatic style. The SR core is comprised of veteran musicians including songwriter/guitarist Phil Hatfield and bassist Phil “X” Crace, who began performing together in high school. Both are former members of The Score, whose vinyl debut punk-pop LP “Private Ideas” received national attention with reviews in Flipside and Tentacles Magazines, the latter by Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys. Hatfield also worked as a touring sound tech for several major artists including Steve Walsh (Kansas), Ray Charles, Atlanta Rhythm Section, BJ Thomas, Phil Driscoll and others. He holds a PhD and is also a nationally known author/historian who penned “The Other Feud” about his famous feuding ancestors. X was also once a professional race driver, and won the Darlington National IHRA Drag Racing Championship in 1999.

SR has performs at venues and festivals such as the Empire Concert Club in Akron OH, 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA, Phantasy Bar in Cleveland OH, The After Dark in Detroit MI, and Bosswoodstock in Columbus OH along with other venues across the southeastern and Midwestern US, with current plans to expand touring into the northeastern and western states.
